The Lamb and the Scroll
Revelation 5:1-14 is about the Lamb of God and a scroll with seven seals that John sees in in the right hand of the Father who sits His throne in heaven. John records himself crying because no one was able to open and read the scroll in the Father’s right hand. An elder tells John to stop crying because the Lion of the tribe of Judah, who is the Lamb, has prevailed and can break off the seals to read the scroll. When the Lamb took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne, the four beasts and twenty-four elders fell down on their faces and sang a new song of worship to the Lamb. Then, millions of angels joined in to praise the Lamb. Finally, John hears every creature in heaven, on earth and in the sea blessing and honoring Him who sits on the throne and the Lamb.
The fifth chapter of the Book of Revelation expands out understanding of King Jesus. The Chapter explains that Christ deserves to be worshiped and He is the only one who qualifies to open the scroll from the Father and read it. This is because Jesus was slain to redeem Creation with His blood, which has made us priests unto our God and kings in King Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom.
The Purpose
The Book of Revelation was written to seasoned Christians, who have an intimate relationship with King Jesus and who know His Word. The Revelation of King Jesus is the ultimate Bible book that completes everything we need to know about Christ so that our relationship can grow to the highest heights. This is why we study the fundamental books of the Bible, so that we can understand the revealed prophecies of King Jesus

Apostle John had a heart after God just like King David. John desperately wanted to know what was written on the scroll, which was in the right hand of the Father sitting on His throne, so that John can do everything possible to bring about the events of that scroll to glorify the Father. When John discovered that no one was able to open and read the scroll, he cried bitterly.
Initially, “No one was able to open and read the scroll,” not even Christ. was a true statement. However, after Jesus, the Lamb of God, was slain to redeem Creation with His blood, He qualified to open the scroll.
We will learn the contents of this mysterious scroll in the lesson of Chapter 8. In Chapter 10, John finally gets what he wanted so much, which was to read that scroll and to bring about its contents to make the Father happy. This was/will be achieved by John eating or reading the scroll. Then, John, who represents the Saints and the 144,000 selected, especially the Jews, should prophesy to many peoples, nations, languages and kings in the “Great Tribulation” (Rev. 10:9-11).
If you want to be happy, delight in pleasing God and desire to do the things that make Him happy and you will accomplish them.
